set up a blogspot account first, they allow you to post from a mobile device, forward the mms to to your blogspot page. And its saved on the blog..

Or you can use maverick : if you have a picasa account it will save images sent thru gtalk to your picasa account.
That's a good workaround for now. I don't understand why they didn't make it so we could long-press an MMS photo attachment and save it like we can images from the browser. There are issues with MMS, though, because I went through voice recorder and sent a recording via MMS last night, but all my husband received was text, no file attachment. I had to send it via Gmail.

When I cleared browser data, it blew my bookmarks away. I wonder if RC30 addressed this. I've not tried clearing browser data since getting that update.

    Question:

Is it possible to select text in the browser?

I heard you hold down shift and use the trackball to highlight text but haven't got it to work

anybody else know anything about it?

If you've been using streetview or the browser alot, the cache can quickly get big. I've only had the phone for two days and got 20MB back by clearing the cache on these two.

Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Browser > Clear Data
Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Streetview > Clear Data
This will clear all your bookmarks you have added, plus add back the pre-loaded bookmarks that you have carefully deleted ... Not recommended.

Holding Alt and scrolling the trackball will move the cursor to the beginning or end of a line.
Holding Shift and scrolling the trackball will highlight letter by letter.
Holding Alt + Shift and scrolling horizontally (left and right) with the trackball will highlight the line the cursor currently sits on (does it a little differently than Shift + Scroll Up).
Holding Alt + Shift and scrolling vertically (up and down) with the trackball will highlight all text.

    Enjoy!

I work in a corporate environment so I keep my phone on silent more often then not, so here are a few tips for quick swap to silent mode:

The side buttons for volume up / down, will control the ringer volume. (This works in the main menu / most apps that don't control the multimedia sound.

While turning the sound down, your last two options will be vibrate only, and lastly completely silent (assuming you have vibrate turned on in the settings)

Also, if you hold the power button down for a few seconds, it will also give a quicker on / off option for silent mode, as well as a full power off.

I know these are fairly obvious but I found it very different from my last phone, hopefully this will be useful to anyone in this situation.

    Thanks for the tips!
