I just got of the phone with my Local T-mobile Store.

They Dont have a waiting List Anymore, there just Doing First Come First Serve, and No One Really Called Because It's A Newer Store That Opened A Couple Month's Ago..

2)The Price No matter What, Is 179.99 For New 2 year Contract's (with that minimum rate plan of course). I Was Already thinking I was going To Have To Pay 299.99 To Extent This Contract!

And You know what i was Just Thinking? With All That Money I Saved From Switching Over my Car Insurance, I can By A Memory Card! ahah lmao.

But Yea, For real's, you know what i was thinking? For Those Who Are Still "Pre-Ordering", why are you? Just Go In The store On Oct.22, and just renew your contract there?!!, dont wait Till November 10th!!

Yeah, what you forget is that only 23 major markets will have the G1 on launch day.

The rest of us have to pre-order or drive quite a distance for the pleasure you seem to be taking for granted.

Please show me something official that says you can't get one in-store if you aren't in a 3G market. I'm not trying to be condescending, I just want to see a solid source. Also, you can still go to your store Oct. 22nd and see if they will have them in stock, maybe you'll get lucky, if in fact 3G area's are the only stores to get them in. In my opinion, I think all store's will get them and so do the customer reps. when you call CS.

I have called EVERY store in my area and hear the same story, like they are reading it. No G1 in store on the 22nd, they will have a demo unit to try out. If you are ok with the speed of it on EDGE/GPRS then you may order it online.

I'm not in a 3G area, Washington D.C. soon will be 3G but currently is not. Maybe because we will be 3G soon we are getting some G1's...oh well only time will tell..

How do you know for sure that the stores will have them in stock on the 22ND?

the HTC G1 will only be available in T-Mobile's 3G markets, but demo units will be in all T-Mobile stores regardless of their market's data speed.
“Available in all stores within 3G boundary area, regardless of whether or not store is in a 3G dead spot. Available in some locations directly outside of the 3G boundary area due to the fact that some customers who live in the 3G boundary area shop within a 2 - 5 mile radius and the store they would go to is outside of the 3G boundary area.
