sync only my contacts, not all contacts on google
i thought i read somewhere how to do this, but after a ton of searching i couldn't find it... anyone know how to do this on the hero?
edit: found it on the sprint forum! Open "People", go to the "Groups" Tab. Hit "Menu", then choose "Sync Groups". You can choose which groups to sync in there. I deselected "Sync All Contacts" and chose "My Contacts" instead. Last edited by ftothe3; 10-12-2009 at 10:15 AM.

yea i had that issue, i had over 300 + contacts of bs emails from like craigslist lol.. u just uncheck the sycn all contacts under google mail settings

i just got the sprint hero today as well...
i see your solution to go into groups and hit menu and choose "Sync Groups". i don't seem to have a choice for "Sync Groups". all i have is 'add group' or 'delete groups'?? any idea how i can fix that?

how do you mean? one of the first things i did when i turned on the phone at Best Buy was login to my google account.
is there something else i have to do? edit-wtf? now it's there... that's weird. didn't change anything. oh well, thanks for the info. Last edited by wookietv; 10-13-2009 at 11:17 PM.

Just a note here...I had the same issue.
When you first activate your Google account on your brand new Hero (I have the newer Sprint one) it will take a while to give you the option of what groups you want to sync. Don't panic if you don't see it at first. Just give your phone a bit of time to get all it's **** in order!
