Hey There, guess I should start by telling you what i'm working with... I have a Pioneer 7900BT that has both Bluetooth Phone Connection as well as Bluetooth Audio Capability and I have a G1 that is NOT rooted... Just a plain ole' T-Mobile G1...
On my Pioneer 7900BT, I selected the Bluetooth Audio option thru my source button and then used the function button to figure out what the “pairing Code is. (The default for Pioneer is 0000; not sure what other brands are but you will need this 4 digit code)
On my G1, I then went into Bluetooth Settings and turned on Bluetooth & then I clicked on “discoverable”. Next I clicked on “Scan for devices” and my G1 found the Pioneer BT Unit. It asked for the Pairing Code and I entered the 0000. It then “thought” for a second and a couple seconds later it listed below the “Bluetooth Devices” like this below:
Pioneer BT Unit
Connected
I then opened my music player on my G1, clicked play on a song, turned up the Media Volume on my phone, and adjusted my Radio for the best sound. I found that I get the best sound when I turn up the Media Volume to the second to the highest setting. (14/15 if you use the AudioManager Console App.)
Let me know if you have any trouble and I may be able to help you. Good Luck!
-Tony
