Call T-mobile and give them the EMI numbers...
Maybe they can do something from there end
My month old G1 was stolen on Friday. I terminated my T-Mobile service as soon as I could, I filed a police report and I ordered a replacement phone from my Insurance company. That was the easy part...
My question is, what do I do now? I had so many different app's that sent updates directly to my phone that I went ahead and changed all the passwords that I could (Gmail, Hotmail, Facebook, Twitter, etc.). But I'm assuming that there is no way to clear the phone memory or do a hard-system restart remotely? I don't want to try to track my phone. I just want to see that the people that stole it can't have access to all of the information that I've stored on the phone.
Any tips? Thanks so much!

next time--if there is a next time--you should install sim checker, and some gps tracking software.
T-mo should be able to lock the device so that its un-useable.
But that would require the EMI ID
Thank you all so much! There will be a next time for my replacement phone arrives tomorrow. Any tips for the future would be very much appreciated.
How do I locate the EMI number? Would it be on the box that the phone came in? Or with any of those materials? I always keep those together.
Thanks!
It should be on the box
It should be on the box, I think. Usually they have it by the barcode on the box.
First, make sure you have a SIM unlock code. Second, make sure you have a pattern unlock on the phone itself. I had a phone stolen in Madrid once. Whoever stole it couldn't use the SIM and couldn't use the phone. Got home, got a new SIM & phone. Never had a problem with the old stuff being out there.
Sorry for the loss
Don't be so careless!
Be aware of your surroundings, the world is a dangerous place. Except for me, I don't hang around dangerous areas.
