But my wifi hasn't had a problem or anything since I got the phone.

I don't use the calendar, but the endless loop syncing with the contacts will be useful...to drain the battery.

I call BS on that. It always disappeared when I read it.

The browser won't stream YouTube videos anyway. We need flash for that. It will however allow you to watch it using the YouTube application that came with the phone.

I rarely if ever use WiFi or Bluetooth anyway.

Either way, even if the updates seem pointless, it's always good to have updates.

Seriously, your computer should recognize the device and display it's connected.
