I 'THINK' there's one in the G1 already, but it leaves much to be desired.
I think the most ideal thing would be a port of VLC
I've done a good bit of looking and don't seem to see one. I *MUST* be missing it.

Spring is upon us! Woo hoo!!
If there's one built into the G1, it's not mentioned in the docs (other than you tube).

It really shouldn't be too hard to port to Android. Any code monkeys out there wanna grab the source-code?

There's already been threads about this... TRY using the "Search" Link (Or drop down menu - wateva), it comes in handy

But what I can't find anywhere is what encoding and what types of files can be played on the tunewiki player and on the other video player. I saw that post on tmonews about how to encode your videos for the G1, but I would like to see a website for the actual player(s) that confirms what will and will not play before I go and start re-encoding a bunch of files.
Where is the actual android marketplace anyway? Search for that and all you get are a bunch of blog hits.

Here's another good video displaying a nice 3rd party video player that supports MPEG-4 and 3GPP video formats as well as the H.263 and H.264 video codecs.
