Noooooooooooo.......
J/w, is it that the screen just cant use it or if google left it out for patenting issues.
Also, does anyone else think their their G1 screen is much smaller than the iphone screen, or is that just me?
Noooooooooooo.......
Me and Android are officially connected.
duh it's much smaller then the iPhone screen. And yes it does gave multi touch.
Well first, I'm 90% sure that the phone doesn't have the capability to use Multi-Touch, but that maybe able to be changed in the future with a firmware updated, similar to possible AD2P for Stereo Bluetooth, but someone correct me if I am wrong
Multi-touch capability is a hardware feature. Not software. If the hardware doesn't support multi-touch, no amount of OTA's can change that.
And god damnit buy a ****ing iPhone if you want one so bad.

yea we will have multi touch, hopefully soon. our phones capable of it.
G1= 3.2" screen
iphone= 3.5" screen
not much bigger, but it does make a difference.
WTF I rememer hearing that it supports multi touch but they couldn't use it bc of apple . But I heard an app could add this.
Chillax. This is not an iphone praising thread. I just wanted to know, before I bought my phone I heard that it ran at the same resolution as the iphone but the screen was a bit smaller, but I didnt think it would be THIS much smaller :\
Ah well.
So does it support multi touch or not? (this is a hard ware feature)
What I heard was that HTC put it in, but because Apple patented a lot of the gestures for multi touch, they could not do this because of the issues and figured it would be easier to let the developers put it in.
I also heard that the same company makes both the Iphone and the G1's screens...
From what I remember on another thread, the phone is capable of multitouch. Someone even demonstrated it on a video. If I can find the thread, I'll post it.
