So I have been having problems with SMS and I am not sure what is causing it.
Normally it should be like this: Me: Sent 1 You: Reply 1 Me: Sent 2 You: Reply 2 But mine is doing this: You: Reply 1 You: Reply 2 Me: Sent 1 Me: Sent 2 Any idea why its doing it? and how I can fix it? Thanks Edit - I just had a conversation with someone and this is how it went with the time stamps: You: Sent 1 - 02:19 am You: Sent 2 - 02:27 am You: Sent 3 - 02:28 am Me: Reply 1 - 09:24 am Me: Reply 1 - 09:27 am Me: Reply 1 - 09:28 am So the G1 is reporting that the text messages are being received at 02 am, but its really 9am when I am getting them. Both parties are EST. How can I fix that? Last edited by Faaip05; 11-04-2008 at 09:32 AM. |

I dunno but i think what you are trying to say is your messages or delayed and out of order? It sounds like its network congestion. Nothing you would be able to do on your phone to fix this. Try a reboot but my best guess would be to contact Tmobile and have them do some tests on thier end.
O and i bet if you contact them they will say they are haveing network problems or delays. That way they can just get you off the phone.

Yes, I am experiencing a similar problem. I suspect that the timestamp on my G1 is not the same against the timestamp of the SMSC.

Can it be related to DST? I have been fine up until this point?
My phone is just reporting the wrong time it's receiving text messages. My time and everything is correct. Edit - I also tested it with another phone that is on the same plan as me and has exactly the same settings, and its still reporting the wrong text time. It makes threaded SMS impossible because you can't see what the person replied with, not cool. Last edited by Faaip05; 11-04-2008 at 09:44 AM. |

Another day, another bug. Let's hope Google and HTC believe in incremental updates and not release big packs every couple of months.
