Sim card manager??

With all the crap applications out there why cant someone make a sim card management app. It sucks everytime i want to save a new contact i have to put my sim card in another phone to save to the sim card then put it back in my g1 common now!!!

if you're going to use an android phone, you're really gonna need to come to terms with the cloud. once you let go of your dependence on physical media, everything will seem so much simpler.

Just as an FYI on this, my phone just got messed up, my contacts were in the cloud, but had to hard reset my phone... which for some reason also decided to delete the contacts out of the cloud... very lame!

There is an app "contact2sim" in the market, free.

I find that doubtful as I've had 3 defective phones, all of which were hard reset numerous times and (obviously) replaced with new ones. Never lost a single contact.

I think people are missnig the point. Whether or not you doubt that it erased his contacts is irrelevant at best. If someone want to be able to directly acess their sim card they should be able to. It is possible but someone forgot to write that app into the phone. If in the future they decide to go to a blackberry or a different phone carrier or to some cheap free phone with data plan they should be able to throw their sim in and have their contacts handy. And all the phones before always had the ability to directly change sim info ..why should we now accept that we don't need to do that. maybe they don't need to but they want to.maybe they save their wife on their phone and their mistresses on the sim...who are you to tell them to get out of the clouds..lol but yes there are 3rd party apps..but i do feel it was over looked by the android team
