Share pictures, not working

how come when I try to share a picture I take with my camera, it does not work?

i clicked on Share in the menu while looking at the picture, selected Google mail, then typed in my own email address. from there i filled out subject and message and hit send message. nothing happened. I am connected to 3G but the status didnt blink at all throughout the transaction. any ideas?

i looked in my outbox in the gmail application, and theyre just sitting there with the status, Sending... in red. they arent going out, any ideas?

nevermind, the email eventually sent out. i guess the 3G was just being really really slow.
