screen lock removal

I don't mind the timing out and the screen locking, I have it set on 1 minute, so it doesn't bother me. What DOES bother me is that when I press the red button to hang up after a phone call, that also locks the screen. I often have to make several calls in a row so this is very annoying. If anyone has a solution for this, please please tell me. thanks.

Let the other party hang up...lol
Or use the <menu> options to "end the call" ... I dont know!

It usually isnt you pressing the red button. If you are on the phone for over a minute it will automatically lock up.

Do the following:

Menu >>> Settings >>> Sound & Display >>> (Scroll to bottom) Screen Timeout >>> Select Never Timeout and OK (Not simultaneously, duh!)

Your screen will never time out then (But battery my friend... battery)

To turn off screen, press the Red Button

But if you press the red button, it locks the phone again

I think I stumbled upon a hackish solution.

1) using AnyCut, create a shortcut to the activity "Setup Wizard"
2) run "Setup Wizard"
3) (you might have to touch the android first, then) replug the battery and turn on the device

The setup wizard apparently disables the lock and re-enables it when it finishes.
