Default screen lock removal

I hate that I have to keep hitting the menu button to unlock the screen...can this be disabled?

Not that I know of. As far as I know you can only change the time out feature in settings.

I would have to ask if you don't want to press menu twice, then how are you going to keep your phone from accidentally calling people, or just plain doing stuff while it's in your pocket/purse? I think you really *NEED* the press-menu-twice-to-get-it-going again feature.

I think they should have a lock button to push to enable...not automatically...

Do the following:

Menu >>> Settings >>> Sound & Display >>> (Scroll to bottom) Screen Timeout >>> Select Never Timeout and OK (Not simultaneously, duh!)

Your screen will never time out then (But battery my friend... battery)

To turn off screen, press the Red Button

(Problem solved, NO?)

The red call end button locks the phone from any screen.

If you set a pattern (even an easy one) then pressing menu will activate the pattern screen instead of homepage... You dont want to browse to a 'not so friendly' site while the phone is in your pocket.

sorry about the back-2-back posts
