i would really like to know this as well... info anyone?
today my wife sent me a picture of our dog, via MMS. when i clicked the download button in the text it promptly downloaded the picture, just as it was supposed to do. but then it brought it up in a new window. however, it would not let me save it to my phone. how do i do this? the menu key is not valid, or has no options once you open the downloaded picture window. so how do we save pictures that were sent via MMS?
i would really like to know this as well... info anyone?
Long Press The Picture... Have You Tried That? A Menu May Come Up With Options and One Might Be Download Or Save...
i still havent gottwen a succesful mms
can't save it, probably won't be able to is what tmobile rep told me today. Best you can do is forward to a photo account.
I personally will vouch for picasa (go figure a guy with an android phone doing that) but particularly because it has a setting where you can get your own private email address to a dropbox in the account. You can forward anything to that address (emails, texts, etc.) and it just takes any and all photos from whatever into a private dropbox that you can sort out from there.
as a warning the tmobile guy also said that those pictures will only be saved for 72 hours. I'm not sure of any reason behind this, that wouldn't be solved by letting us save our photos, but thats the word on the street.
Now if I could only send picture messages (was calling because I couldn't receive or send them) he told me the first thing to do is send yourself one, sets up a target of some sort. Since then I can receive them but people don't seem to get them (which is odd because emailing them to picasa does work.)
I cant even forward an MMS, how are you doing that? and, did i get that right? picasa has an e-mail address? how would you set that up? i thought it was all google.
i was also trying to figure this out to! i hope we can save pics from mms cuz it would suck if we couldnt
forwarding is long press on the photo or the message and then select forward.
setting up the email in picasa is going under the settings (in picasa) and filling out the upload photos by email, (i think it takes a day or two for that to set up, so don't be surprised if it doesn't work immediately,) but once it does set up it works really good, its how I ended up getting all of my pictures off of my last phone.
if you do the upload in picasa I recommend picking a short secret word, otherwise the email address can get lengthy.
tmobile rep said that you probably won't be able to thats the stupidest feature i've ever heard. not being able to save pictures you receive wow thats dumb, im sorry to say! &the fact that you cant forward ! thats dumb too !
they better fix it!
do you hear me google? fix it!
