Rumor About G1 Shipping (Not Yet)

To add to the rumor mill, I was told the following by a T-Mobile Customer Care rep:

There were rumors of G1's shipping today because T-Mobile employees were told that devices could ship within a 9 day window...before or after the 22nd. That would theoretically put today as the first day they could ship. However, this also means they could ship out the first allocation as late as the 29th.

This rumor does not represent my views, or the views of Android Community. Simply another fun rumor to entertain and drive us nuts.

Thank you so much for that info. That is just great. Maybe they should just delay shipping until they have the 3G network up & running here in STL. That would be like.. awesome.

I don't know if the ups reference tracking number thing works on the T-Mo site... but you could keep checking it everyday....

I called CS today to verify my shipping info and indeed it was missing the last two digits from my apartment number. She said ok let me fix that for your billing, and i HAVE to send out an email RIGHT NOW to correct your shipping address for the G1, said it with a sense of urgency, i asked, isn't enough with updating my billing address? She just blew me off and continued to say i should recieve my G1 on Oct. 22nd at the corrected address. Im not saying this is proof for shipping early but it was an akward moment when she said she HAD to send an email RIGHT NOW to update my shipping address. Anywho here's to hoping we get them early!
