On your SD card, make put it in this path:
    SD card/media/audio/alarms/

SD card is your SD card.
/media/audio/alarms/ are folders (alarms is in audio, audio is in media). Put the sounds into the "alarms" folder for alarms.

    Works for me.

Installing Ringdroid will work as well (and put the sounds somewhere on your SD).

I know this is an old thread, but hopefully someone in the know will reply. I want to move all my mytouch 3g ringtones and alarms to my mytouch 4g. I did download the files that DaYuMu6ft7 posted in this thread, but some of the files are ogg files. I wasn't sure if these would work on the mytouch 4g, so I converted them to mp3 files. BUT....once converted, the rooster alarm (which is the most important) is only a piece of the alarm. Can I use the ogg files on my 4g mytouch? If so, how? If not, does anyone have the mp3 files for the alarms from the htc mytouch or g1? Thanks in advance for your help!!!

I'm REALLY looking for the htc mytouch / g1 rooster alarm ringtone.

Did anyone ever answer you? I am also looking for this ringtone since I upgraded from my cliq 2 to my myTouch 4G Slide, which doesn't have it...
