    Default RC30 halted

No, you don't need to worry. Everyone will get the update.

I also just heard the current update was halted do to a few reported issues. I'm sure they'll fix it and restart the distro soon.

With that, I'm done quoting time lines. I'm happy to pass along info, but hate setting false expectations. Let's assume you'll get the update 'soon' and go with that.

It doesn't matter how long you've had your device or what version you're on. Just be patient and it will come.

All I want is for google to fix the battery life and gps.

I realize that if I select wifi gps, it won't be as accurate, but half the time it can't even find my location at all. Whats that all about.

I hate to say this but the G1 has an 1100mah battery. Not sure how much more run time they can squeeze out of it with all the radios and a pretty high res screen chewing away at it... but here's hoping, right? For comparison the iP**** has a 1400mah battery and it doesn't get that much better battery life than you would expect with those numbers, I think.

I would pick up the extended battery eventually as that is 1600mah and should last through most of a day with relatively heavy usage (unless of course it's a bunk battery).

What I do hope they can implement is to let the OS force apps to turn the necessary radios on and off as needed without prompting. That should let the battery run a bit longer.
