Question about setting up Email

I'm trying to get my school's email set up on my G1 but I'm not exactly sure how to go about it. I type in my email and password but I have to choose either pop3 or imap (i don't really know the difference) and I've tried multiple options in there and I can't get it to work. My school uses Outlook Web Access if that helps at all. Can anyone help?

Don't use outlook.

You will have to use the E-Mail app that comes with the phone so you can set up multiple e-mails.

From there you need to figure out if the web server is pop or imap. This should all be under account settings...or a FAQ.

I know Gmail has a section to walk you through setting up your account on a e-mail client.

My school uses Office Outlook Web Access from the log-in page, I don't know if that matters. But I'm trying to use the email app I just can't find any settings or a FAQ that would help on my school's website.

See, I'm no good troubleshooting when I'm not there.

I don't think the Outlook Web Access matters, that's just what you use to access your e-mail.

Find out if you're using something like hotmail (that's what we use at my school, for our school e-mail accounts) if so, they should have information on how to add an account in a client.

You easiest solution may be to have your Gmail account "fetch" your school email, then send it along to your Gmail account. If you go to your Gmail account on line, all the options are there. Otherwise, you really are going to need someone familiar with setting up the pop3/imap app on the phone help you.

Does your school run a Microsoft Exchange server for it's email (considering you use web outlook...). If so try touchdown (not free) or apparently K-9 has support as well but not for 2003
