Default problem with "google powered" school email (csuf)

hey guys, i'm having problems with my cal state fullerton email. im an upcoming freshman, and i need this email as the school contacts me this way..

anyway, i'm having problems setting up the email, i just get errors. usually along the lines of "cannot connect to server". the email should be gmail based, but instead of "@gmail.com" it's "@csu.fullerton.edu"

does anyone have any tips on how to setup this email? ive tried both imap and pop3..so i'm pretty lost. sorry, i'm noob

thanks in advance! please help!

You will need to setup secure ssl imap for downloading using imap.gmail.com as the server
And secure ssl smtp for sending using smtp.gmail.com as the server
