Default Please Help: On Screen Keyboard does not work in landscape

    Hello,

I updated to the official Cupecake version from T-Mobile but I can't get the on screen key board to work in landscape mode. I have gone into settings and have marked Orientation. My screen never rotates in any apps, I have checked my accelerometer and works fine in all the Papi games. Any ideas?

    Thanks for your help,

    Brett

I just got the update today and haven't been following the news, so I'm probably out of the loop on this one, but ...

    - why would want a virtual keyboard in landscape mode when we have a real keyboard?
    - does android auto-rotate apps when switched to landscape mode? I wasn't aware of this feature existing
    - what settings have you gone to where you marked orientation? I cannot find this under the keyboard settings panel

I had a problem with mine being really, really slow to respond, or not responding at all even with it fully tilted. Someone named Andrea on these boards pointed me in the direction of downloading bubble from the apps store, opening up the app, and pressing menu, and pressing calibrate with the phone laying flat on each side. Once I calibrated all of the sides of my phone, auto rotate works better than I want it to. Give that a try, and see if that doesn't fix your problem. Feel free to PM me if you need some help calibrating. Good luck! God bless!

oh yay I helped someone out! :]

Try Bubble, I was so frustrated with Chomp's auto-rotate being so slow that I had to kinda spaz on my phone every time I rotated so I just downloaded Bubble and calibrated it, it worked like a charm! No more spazzing!

Hey don't feel bad -- I had enough know-how to manually install Cupcake weeks ago, but only now found out how to go into settings and enable orientation. Hooray for dumbassery!
