I noticed it does that only when I have the charger plugged in.
Is anybody else having any issues with their pictures? I put some on my SD card last night, and I know they were there cuz they were showing up on my G1 last night. This morning I go to look at them and it's saying "No Pictures Found"
Anybody had this happen?

Hello Black G1.
I noticed it does that only when I have the charger plugged in.

Mine does the same thing. If I take the SD card out then back in it will see them. It's only happened twice.
If you are charging using the usb from a computer it will do this, because the pc is accessing the card as a mass storage device. try unplugging and see what happens.
from what I think you all are saying...
you guys need to go to setting > sd card and phone storage > and check off use for USB storage in order for you to view your files that are in your SD card while its being charged
i had the same issue when i used my 3 way HTC adapter. I plugged in to charge and play music and it wasn't letting me. I did that and it worked fine
I never trust SD Cards for holding pictures anymore, especially if i am in a cold environment. I have returned two different Digital Cameras and a few SD cards because they would randomly lose pictures. I have been able to recover most of them using an "undelete" software utility, but it is a big pain. I am glad cameras like the Canon Rebel don't use them!
I solved this by turning the phone off, taking the card out, and reseating it. It seems to be working fine now.
Goodbye Sidekick 2008.
Hello Black G1.
I had the same error, but when I unplug it from the wall charger (not a PC or laptop, just one that I had) the pics come up. Also, I couldn't download MP3s from a website (severedfifth release or something) and got a "you need an SD card to store this" prompt. Since I have an 8GB in there, and it worked for the MP3s I copied to it, I figured it was just something dumb. Well, it's dumb alright, and when I unplug it from the same charger I can now download and playback MP3s from that site. If you disable the "use for USB storage" checkbox in settings, then it works fine with the USB charger. Fun stuff.
I am also having the same problem, all but two of my pictues were deleated the first time. Then I added them all back and less than half a day later all but one of my pictures were deleated. I figured it was the sd card that came with my G1 so I bought an 8 gig sandisc card and the same thing happend again with all but one of my pictues being deleated. Funny thing is that none of my music gets deleated, and my sd card still shows the same amount of free space. Anybody find a fix for this yet?
I seem to have lost all the pictures on my G1. One second they were there, and now they're gone. This morning when I opened my pictures folder, there were exclamation points in place of all my pictures. I couldn't see any of them. I turned my phone off and on again, and now there are no pictures!
Is there any way at all that I can recover them??
