Open/Closing the G1 (sounds/tones)?

Hey guys, I forgot what its called but does anyone know if we can set a tone for when we slide our phone open and close...Kinda like how the sidekick Lx has through a theme? I hope so...Any info would be great! Thanks

yeah i also prefer mine silent lol nice and quiet is just the way i like it.... AndroidBeauty the sidekick is the only phone that i know of that has that open and close sound thingy.... so i doubt that the G1 will have it.

I would think so. If so it'd more than likely be done through preferences.

Example,

On my HTC Wing I can go into settings and I can set any tone to any of the preloaded tones or a 'custom' tone, something I have downloaded onto my phone and can designate as the tone for the screen flip action.

I don't see this phone being any different in that regards. Only way we'll know for sure is to wait until October 22nd - Android Day!

I would like the option because some days I might like it but I want to be able to turn it off too..

I dont think I'd ever want a sound for that...with how often I go b/w open and closed...i'd get annoyed...and if i'm annoyed, i can only imagine how people around me would feel.

trust me. my friends will be like damm that g1 is cool. but its true. most of the time i have it OFF and on silent. but i like to have options too. just in case
