It's a shame that when forwarding an email or text message, I am forced into using the keyboard.

Couldn't long pressing the "to" line in a message or gMail send you to your contacts list so you can scroll and finger pick the destination?

How do I play my music from my G1 on my stereo. I have tried it by plugging it into the stereo with the USB, mounting, but when I go into the music files it says that the SD card is busy. What am I doing wrong?

Is there a way to answer your phone calls by tapping on the screen? Or the only way to answer is by pressing the green phone button?

Regarding the headphone adapter, our two black G1's received 11/12 both had headphone adapters and headphones included in the box.

I would like to know if there is any way to LOCK the ringer volume. I find myself accidentally turning it down, and then I miss calls.

I have been waiting for some of the initial growing pains to be worked out, is now a good time to buy? I currently have a dying shadow on T-mobile and would like to replace it with another smartphone. I am either going to go with a white G1 or an unlocked smartphone and would like your opinion.

After waiting for a month for my G1 (ups lost in action), now i have to wait for the data plan to take affect (t mobile says 24-48 hours). Is this phone worth it?
Once i get the phone logged into google for the first time, does it get easier?

I've just sim unlocked my UK G1 and set it up to vodafone. A few questions:

1. How do i find out what version of the software i have?

2. How do i update it manually, and are there different versions depending on what country
youre in?

3. Will updating the software manually disable the sim unlock that i just paid for?

Hello guys.

I remember back at the UK launch, people complaining about text message lag. when I go to my messages, I get major lag when scrolling...it's awful. I thought at first that a phone reboot would fix it, but no luck unfortunately.

Any others still experiencing this problem? Any way around it?
