I asked or answered a few of my own questions while I was there. I'll post them in a moment as well as my first impressions.

P.S. Kaz is a great guy and it was good chatting with him.

I have to ask... In the last picture, to the right of the G1 box there is some signage that at the top it says Music. Video... And then below that there are some icons and one of them is the XM radio icon. Does that signage belong with the G1 meaning that it could possibly support XM, or was it just random signage that was sitting on the desk?

I wish I could find the link, I've been searching ever since I posted the original post but no luck! The problem is that it was in about the middle of the video and they only showed the locking mechanism for a few seconds. I will search again for it when i get back home and let you know if I can find it.

+One question that has been asked that I verified is that AnyCut was on the Market Place, We installed it and it does let you drag a contact to the home screen. You can drag one natively but all it does is bring the contact up on the dialer it does not dial. With AnyCut touching the icon directly dials the contact.

I am coming from an iPhone. I think the browser was pretty darn close. In Google and AC for that matter the scroll was very smooth. Graphic hog sites did slow things down just a bit.

I was totally impressed with Application loading. It was fast. I opened the ****tail App and it popped right up. Clicking on any ****tail and it was instantly displayed.

Ran a You Tube video on Wifi and Edge. Playback was almost exactly the same as the iPhone. Edge plays with less quality so it streams correctly. I think loading times were better on the G1.

The screen is crisp. Scrolling was awesome in long lists like in settings or the Market.

It amy be that the Library was removed after these demo phones shipped but this particular phone has the A2DP protocaol because it works on Bluetooth Headphones (in strereo). Kaz tried it lastnight.

I was a little dissapointed in the loudness of the ring. The Mall was quite noisy but I still think the phone was too quiet.

Am I glad I sold my iPhone and preordered a G1......You betcha!

I visited Kaz as well. He was sooooo nice and he took a lot of time out of his day to answer all of my questions and he didn't have to do that! That phone is awesome and I am sooooo excited about it. All the apps in the marketplace are free (for now) and I am going to get as many as I can while they're free! LOL

Thanks Kaz! I really appreciated your time! Your baby is as cute as a button!

yes you can, but my guess is that you'll have to reformat it to work with the android, which means erasing it from zero and starting from square one
