Well whether or not the G1 will sync with Address Book (I happen to like Apple's Address Book. I have a Mac, and I don't really dig Entourage so much), the main issue is whether or not I can create a list on Gmail --- let's say named "GOne" and have my G1 only sync with that list. Initially I'll have the G1 send its data to GOne and thereafter, it will be a two-way sync. I'm pretty sure the G1 will accept VCards over Bluetooth...well I hope so - lol

Because he said he's using Mac and Apple's Address Book.

Try out the trial of a software piece called "SpanningSync".

It's a 15 day trial, and it syncs (2-way, caller ID pics included) your Address Book with GMail Contacts, and it also syncs your iCal with Google Calendar.

If you like it, it's $20/year (with discount) or $60/lifetime (with discount) to keep it.

If you don't want to pay, at least it synced everything from your Mac up to the Google cloud to get you started with your G1. Just make sure your Blackberry is synced with your Mac first, then run SpanningSync.

I, for one, paid for it...it works VERY well.

Here is picture-by-picture proof, for your perusal. You better appreciate how much time it took to make this post to prove I'm right.

    Any other questions?

Hi guys, I know this has already been covered somewhat.... but do we think that stereo bluetooth will definitely be a feature of this handset soon? I noticed that some of the G1's you guys have got your hands on had it at some point, so its a fair assumption that it will make a return with a future update fairly soon right?

I may well be looking to get this phone, but if A2DP isn't supported, or is never going to be supported then I am not really interested!

kaziko... thanks for all the info you have provided. I had 3 question I am hoping anyone with a G1 can respond to.

    1. Does it have a built-in GPS? I have not been able to find this information on t-mobile's website.
    2. Although my area has 3G I do not want to spend $25 on the data plan and would like to use their $7 Edge plan instead. Can I do that?
    3. Can I connect to my house wireless network to browse the net? I used to do that with my Nokia N95.

    Thanks in advance.

    1. Yes it has built-in GPS
    2. Not sure. but I would assume it needs atleast the total internet plan since the cheaper data plan blocks out some ports.
    3. Yes you can use wi-fi.
