Just spoke to a supervisor & a rep named Renee... You have 14 days from the time UPS tracking says you received it! You have to call from your G-1 to actually do it also. Thanks.

If so then I have time. I dont see why it matters what phone you use to call.

I went to Squaretrade's site and checked it out. I plugged in phone/PDA coverage up to $450 and got a rate of $48 for two years, but that basically covers mechanical failures only. It doesn't cover accidental damage, which they do offer as additional coverage, and supposedly has a $50 deductible, but you have to go to the checkout page to get the quote for the AD coverage, so I didn't bother. They will NOT cover theft or loss.

IMHO, Square Trade insurance isn't worth it, since T-Mo warranties the hardware for 1 year anyway, accidental damage coverage is extra, and theft and loss coverage N/A. Personally, I would see little gain to SqTrade policy.

ok so question...i bought my bronze g1 on launch day, called few days later to add insurance...T-mo lady told me it was 5.99 total....which brken down was $3 + something = 5.99

so i check my t-mo bill just now and i see under "Other Charges"
" PHP Insurance and Warranty by Asurion - $3 "

anyone else notice this? Can someone explain the breakdown for me? I just want to make sure I'm fully covered, and i have a feeling if i'm only being charged $3, then i'm not fully covered....any info?

I hate Asurian. I had a LG phone, paid insurance for YEARS, the phone broke from normal use and Asurian said it was not covered for manufacturer breakage due to normal use but is covered if the phone was accidently slammed on the ground or if accidently driven over by a truck. I then said maybe it was damaged by an earlier drop then and she said too late! "You already told me you didn't drop it" and she marked my account to say my phone was broken due to manufacturer wear and tear and I could not file a future claim!! Also, if you say you lost your phone, you have to go file a police report and show them the report as proof! They are a bunch of crooks! IMHO

I have assurion and they a bunch of crooks. My Wing got damanged and they said it was covered by the warantee. Then they said it wasnt covered and I had to pay $130. On top of that I had to send in my phone. Its the same price if its damage or lost. I still have it on my G1 cause I have so much luck that probably as soon as I remove the warantee something will happen to the phone.

To pay $5.99 a month and then once the replacement is needed you HAVE TO PAY $130 to get refurbished unit... That is clearly stated A SCAM!
