    Default Notifications

I am curious if there is any way to change it so the G1 recognises SMS and E-Mails seperately rather than just both as notifications, so when I hear the tone I know what it will be and also can I set my own music for the notifications? I have only been able to set music as the ringtone.

I only got the phone yesterday so I apologise if this may be more obvious than I can see.

Yes, SMS and general notifications have separate sounds.

For SMS: Messaging -> Press Menu -> press Settings -> Select Ringtone
For Email: From the home screen press Menu -> press Settings -> select Sounds & Notifications -> select Notification Rington

Edit: Beaten and yes, email can be set specifically as posted above.

Ah yeah I've done it now, thanks for the help. I had already saw in each section about the ringtone but for some reason because they're both classed as notifications I just assumed it was one tone for all. Thanks again =]
