Huh? The phone can't save pictures to the internal memory. If you don't have an SD card in, it won't let you take pictures.
The pictures are located on the card in a folder called /dcim/camera.
Hope that helps.
whenever i take picture with the camera it saves it to the phones memory and not the sd card? how do i make it save any pics i take to the sd card only?

well when i go to pictures i see 3 folders my pictures, dcim, and camera?
the pictures that you take with the camera will show in the camera folder...
All images should be stored on the MicroSD (mSD)- I don't think there is even an option to use the phone memory.
'All pictures' is a mix of all picture albums found on the card. 'Camera' should be the images taken with the G1 Camera. you may also have other folders such as 'album art'- depending on where the G1 finds image files on the mSD.
DCIM; I am guessing this memory card used in another camera/phone before the G1?
DCIM is standard http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DCIM and does not mean the card was used in another camera.
Wait, so even though my pics are in four categories in the Pictures app (ALL PICTURES, CAMERA, SD CARD, and DOWNLOADS) they are all physically stored on the SD card?
Thanks.
