mytouch or htc magic ..??
can u help me out ..
i m in asia.. i have g1 unlocked is working very fine from 8 month .. !! .. now i want to buy my touch unlocked .. but i have a confusion in to buy magic or my touch ..i know both r same but what about google updates.. for magic is for uk & my touch is for us ...whther google give updates faster than uk version or what ?? ...& whats diff between upadets ?? or any diff ??
can u plz kindly tell me more about it

yea i'd go with a rogers magic.. has 288 mb of ram. Mytouch has 192mb of ram. U decide

It depends which magic you get. I don't have the numbers off the top of my head, but out of the stock HTC Magic, Vodafone Magic, Rogers Magic, Google Ion, T-Mobile myTouch 3G, some have 192, and some have 288MB RAM.

but you will only get OTA updates if you have a "with google" branded phones, otherwise your gonna have to download and push it yourself

oky got it..
as per my knowlage g1, vodafone magic & t mobile my touch is only with " with google " brand ...am i right ?? so what is roger magic ..? 2 nd i m not a tech guy that .. i cant get finger in hangset to get root ' modify, all that stuff ..i like to have " OTA " updates .
actully i m searching on ebay ti have unlocked my touch but seems there is no .. u have any idea ?

ok the vodafone and t-mobile versions of the phone are "with google" phones. the rest are HTC phones
