haha! as far as just throwing in your Rogers sim card I've heard that if you're not using a Tmobile card it will ask you for an unlock code. You can get one from Tmobile after you've had the phone for 90 days, that is if you have it on a Tmobile plan, but despite rumors it appears it doesnt come unlocked. Also you can't set yup your gmail through wi-fi, and yes some GPS uses data through triangulation or you can use the built in GPS receiver which I'm not sure if that uses data or not as it comes from satellites. You may want to wait until an Android phone comes out on your network, is Tmobile not offered in Canada?
