my first couple of days

Hey all, got my android on the 30th (launch day in the UK), I absolutly love it so far however I do have a couple of issues-

Only thing id really like to change about the device is the battery life. I've found there's not quite enough juice to give me a full day and usually have to charge again in the evening aswell as over night. A charge cradle for my work desk would solve this.

Another issue is I appear to have run out of space on my phone. Okay I've downloaded loads of apps but I was surprised to have hit the limit already! Can I save apps to the memory card?

Also I don't understand why msn is disabled from IM in the uk? I tried im+ but not had much luck seems to keep closing? Not sure if I know how to minimise correctly. Hopefully
Pidgin will get ported?

I love my g1 and its already become an essential part of my everyday life!!

P.s I write this from my g1 while laid in bed! LOL

most of the thing you are complaining about can/and will be fixed with a firmware update.
with battery life, im getting decent life because I turn off 3G since im usually around wi-fi. if you search around, you can find some helpful tips on saving battery life.

YEP android is going to get better and better, G1 will get more apps because of open source soon and once g1 gets flash its going to be awesome!

For your memory issue, make sure you clear the cache, cookies, etc from your browser. And do a battery pull because sometimes some of the memory is leaked over time.

I'd love to get pidgin on my g1. I think a lot of people are waiting for a decent IM client to come out.
