My First 2 Hours With a G1 - Review

PS: As an UNofficial word, this particular T-Mobile store (corporately owned, NOT an authorized dealer) has said that their demo unit will be the only G1 in their store until the St. Louis 3G network launches in February 2009 (also UNofficial). My contact there says that officially, G1 devices will not be carried in corporately owned stores that are NOT in a 3G coverage area.

I already correct people on this... its already known that the G1 will NOT be availble in non 3G areas. Master dealers and very few select authorized retailers will carry the phone in non 3G areas

I know that the iphone is 16m colors on the screen and the G1 is 65k, can you tell a difference? Seeing as you have owned a iphone before i'd love to know how it compares.

What caught your attention 1st with the phone. What is the most important thing about it after your 1st 2 hrs (Dont tell me android, that's a given).

Did you slide in your micro-sd (I know u have 1 or more on u), did you try playing/viewing any video, audio or other data files?

Tell us something new (good or bad) about the G1...

I too would like to know how the video shows on the G1. Does it have anything remotely similar to a GPS like a tom tom? What apps did you use and liked/disliked?

You might want to call them first since I just called the Corporate store I've been going to for years as a regular and they said they had not yet received their demo phone yet.
