Hey Everyone, I keep reading about everyone saying the battery has been conditioned and now it lasts longer. I am not sure if this is the case. I think its basically we all got services shut off and thats why the battery is lasting longer. But what i plan on doing here is log everything i do with my phone through out the day. Each time i open it to check the time, texts or browser, i will log it in the first post of this thread.
Today i have turned off Wireless, Bluetooth, Auto-Sync for contacts, Use Wireless(Security & Location). i do have 3G and GPS on.
8:30am: Unplugged the phone, kept the screen off.
9:12am: Checked time and battery, still 100%
10:04am: Checked time and looked at a text didn't respond. Battery at 98%
10:40am: Checked battery 97%
10:45-10:48am: Checking Market, Noticed not connected to 3G. battery is at 96%, 3G popped up half way through Market scrolling.
10:53am: Left a quick VM, Noticed 3G symbol at the top again, Battey at 94%
10:56am: Received an email, GPSTracker updated my location, battery still at 94%
11:55-11:58am: got a text and checking market, 3G was connected when i turned the screen on, Updated Twidroid, Battery is at 90%
12:07pm: Got an email, 3G was active still, battery was at 89%
12:09: Left a VM, EDGE was active, Battery at 89%
12:10-12:11pm: Made a short call, 3G was active, battery at 88%
12:22: received an email, noticed 3G was active, Checked Market for new apps and games, Battery was at 86%
12:40pm: Checked something in MMS, 3G was still active, battery still at 86%
12:48pm: Took a call lasting 1:04, EDGE was active, Battery at 85%
2:27pm: Took a call that lasted 4:43, 3G was active, battery was at 79%
3:21-3:30pm: Checked Market, Installed Notepad, updated Personal Budget and File Manager, Uninstalled The Voice Android, 3G was active with 1 bar until 3:28pm then switched to EDGE with 3 bars, Battery was at 74%
4:11: Loaded up GPS Tracker to update my location, 3G was active, Battery was at 72%
7:28pm: Browsed Market, 3G was active, Battery at 67%
7:29-7:46pm: Used browser on 3G for most of this time, Did a speed test on 3G with 2 bars and hit 439KBPS, Battery at 54%
8:01: Made a phone call that last less then a minute, EDGE was active, battery at 53%
8:09-8:20pm: Received a phone call that lasted 9:43, called for a voicemail, EDGE was active, battery at 53%
12:40am: Checking the Market, EDGE is active with 3 bars, Battery is 38%
Today was not a good day for testing, i barely used the phone. But i am impressed with the amount of time i got with 3G on. I am assuming that turning off the Auto-sync for contacts and Wireless networks in Security & Location made the biggest difference. I plan on doing this again, hopefully with more use!

Today is a slow day with the phone, but i am somewhat impressed with the amount of time that has gone by with 3G/GPS on and the battery isn't just falling. Maybe the batteries do need to be conditioned?
Well my testing is done, i am going to bed and wish i could of used the phone more. I normally have at least 1-2 hours of talk time and at least 30 mins of internet browsing and more time playing with apps. But i was surprised with the battery life with 3G on, maybe the batteries do require a burn in time.
g'night!
hmm thats not bad, assuming 30% decrease in the first 8 hours of testing suggests that you could have lasted a whole 24 hours and still have like 8% left which at leasts lasts a couple hours when idle.
