moving partitioned sd card from g1 to mt3g

if i root my g1 .. can i partiton my sd card using cm 1.4 recovery {comes with cm4.04} then pop it in my mt3g and put my apps to sd ... im thinkin no ... really all i want is my apps to sd on my mt3g but in all the threads it says TYPE and i cant type from the cm 1.4 rrecovery screen with the mt3g someone please help i know it can be dun!!!

how to partition with cyan's recovery... are you sure you have 1.4 though. just because you have his rom doesn't guarentee you have it. i think perhaps that the one click root app gives it to you however i don't know for sure, because i've done absolutely no research into the one click root app...

it uses the recovery , but doesnt give it . there is another step that one click root app users dont do , it flashes something very similar to cyans recovery .

im pretty sure that cm comes with the 1.4 recovery if not i have it on my computer can u tell me how to flash it ? and can use the cm 1.4 recovery to partition on the mytouch/ all the posts i have seen have said go to recovery and then TYPE i cant type from the recovery screen on the mytouch......

also how do i know if i have the real cm 1.4 recovery or if i have a bootleg version/. that would be nice to know ! i hate boot leg ! i also gave cm himself some props on twitter lastnight i dont know if that was good or bad but the man changed my life hahah im 100000% hooked on android and am willing to put in my time to be come 1337 i know u guys know 1337

i never dled anything called Amon Ra’s Recovery Image at least its not in my dl history i just checked ~ now that i got the big guys attention i m excited to make this happen thanks alot guys for all ur fast support~! this is what android is all about open soure!~ try gettin anyone runnin iphones to do this !
