    if you ever owned a sidekick i believe it will be a one time thing with the sidekicks everytime u got a replacement phone you had to login to the Danger servers before you can gain access to the phone itself. but we will have to see.... we will get kaziko to provide us with more info

    Also, coming from a sidekick user's perspective, the "chin" of the G1 gives the phone a better grip, in my opinion. You feel more secure holding it and typing on the keyboard.

    Ok, well i never had a SK
    but was that a ONE and only one time thing?
    or every time u power the SK?

    App installation on SD card I think is limited by the fact that these apps are written in Java running on a Linux stack. Java apps, if properly written, never actually 'quit'...they suspend. This creates a problem with removable storage, as data can be lost if an app is suspended in the background running on the SD card.

    I read somewhere that the memory cards are not "hot swappable." You can't just remove the card, you need to dismount it first. This makes me think that the applications are probably installed to the memory card.
