I was in a T-Mobile shop (Basildon,Essex) today and asked as I do at every T-mobile shop for info about the G1. This is what he gave me.

1. Could not confirm Launch date.
2. Could not Confirm Tarrif(s).

3. His shop will be getting a Demo unit Next week (couldn't confirm date). He said the top 10 shops in each teritory get the advance units and Basildon happens to be one.

All of the above facts came off their computer system, which he checked to see if there was any update to the news he had obviously read earlier. He was obviously well stoked about getting the G1 too.

So there you have it, try to find a Major shop in your area (i Guess size would be a giveaway, the one in Basildon is a double unit, whereas the others I have been into recently are singles). If in Doubt, ask them.
