Thread: Logging into to Google stuff without 3g?

Default Logging into to Google stuff without 3g?

As I don't have 3G yet (grrr!), why is it not possible for me to at least use my WiFi connection to login to and access all the Gmail stuff, and/or even Android market...

Wouldn't have thought a 3G connection was necessary for that..

You can use edge also . And even gprs , it just much slower . And , you should be able to use wifi . Are you having a problem with wifi ? I've downloaded many games/apps on wifi , accessed my gmail , etc .

You can go to the android market on wifi. My second phone without a sim card I can access the market on wifi. I don't know about the rest of the google stuff.

I'm not positive on this, but I think I read somewhere that you have to sign in using the regular connection, but once you're linked up with your google account, you can use wifi to download or view whatever you want. That's how I've always done it.

    I think you're right..

When I trying accessing Android Market, it asks me to sign in with my Gmail account - so I do so and press sign in - then after about a minute it says it could not establish a "reliable" connection.. Same thing applies for all the other Google related services, such as Mail and Google Talk.

Do you have wifi on and are connected because that does not happen for me?

yeah.. super fast wifi connection - works automatically and brilliantly with the browser and youtube, just none of the goole things, like Market, Talk and Mail..

That's strange because all I use is wifi and everything such as market, mail, all work for me.
