Default # keypad on screen?
can you dial and make calls from the touch screen or do you have to use the slide out keyboard to make calls ?

Yes, you can dial from the touch screen.

What happens when you have the phone in landscape mode and you start typing numbers, does it go straight to the dailer?

Acedroid, if you read the date the op posted this thread, you will see he asked the question well before the phone was released. Therefore, he would not have had the manual, which made the question very reasonable...and your response not so reasonable.
