I decided to do it, i'm going to get it all set up after i let it dry for 24 hours, what do you guys think?

Didnt like the silver back, which was the reason for painting.

Looks nice. But it also looks like you painted over the camera lens?

Hey kirizzle, there's a piece of masking tape over the lense. And lazy, nope painted directly onto the rubber coating. I actually messed up one back cover already haha. Supposedly this krylon fusion paint is pretty chip resistant.

Could you do an update post about every week to tell us if it wears out? I would love to design my back case and if your experiment works out I may take a shot at it. I hate covers for the phone since they are usually very bulky.

I teach art so when I do have a case all sorts of crayon shavings or paint chips end up underneath the case and cause havoc. I have found out that if you work in a messy environment you don't need it in a case at all. It looks nice and clean until you take that case off.

Yea let it drive. then put it back to ur white G1. let see if there a different color or not :P hehe. For me, i like the want my phone right now lol (another reason is i scare to mess up if i paint mine, cant affort to f*** up u know. student.....washington doesnt let me do it)

Whoa, for a second I taught I was looking at the iPhone when I've seen the 2nd picture. Where'd you get that case from? Looks pretty slick.


to the OP: Put 3 coats of clear coat on that, makes it look better and less wear and tear on it.
