Is battery life that bad?

Well stand-by time is not too bad It's been unplugged for 9hrs and awake for 30 minutes (according to the stats). It now has 91% batt and i haven't made any calls today, just 2 e-mails and 4 text messages.

Well after 4-5 hours of awake time mine has some 50% left. Not bad.

I'm coming from an original Blackjack...talk about horrible battery life. All I know is it cannot be worse than what I have now...and that's good enough for me...
