I dont know what the effect of the app is in the USA, someone has to check it out. As soon as I click on Activate / dont activate, all network connections are broken, and the 3G/Edge Symbol disappears. The only symbol that I can see is the "normal" signal strenght symbol.
I cant see my version, but I performed a update before 3-4 days, so I think I have one of the latest versions that you can find on the market.

On the US phone, that check box will not work unless I select an APN, which Droidsans will not allow for US phones. I guess my question is, does this prevent optional apps from overriding it?

My father has also a G1, I installed him this tool because he has no data plan and as soon as he makes a data connection the mobile company charges him about 1 dollar for 100 KB. We got the first invoice now and there were no charges for internet connection so I think yes, it prevents overriding of other apps.
