Default Improved battery life with Chomp

    Hi,

I've been having real problems with my Hero's battery running down so I searched the forum and someone mentioned the factory SMS programme can cause problems.

They're right. I switched to Chomp yesterday and have gone through the day on normal use. Still 50% battery left after 10 hours.

Hi ! I just disabled the notifications etc (open the app, hit menu and settings) and removed the icon from the home page. I didn't use the widget anyway.

Not sure if it's worth restarting the phone. I did. Then I just used Chomp. It's quite a neat programme. If you download font packs from the online store you can use them in your text message displays. God, I'm getting sad

Just don't open the factory app.

My battery life seems to have got much better. You can also disable stuff like 3G, background data, twitter etc but to my mind if you're going to do that you may as well buy a toytown basic Nokia for a few quid.

That's not a problem. Go to www.chompsms.com and you can download the app for your phone + install it using HTC sync.
