HTC Hero Vs. HTC Magic (My Touch)

Hi guys,
Just putting my feelers out there to get a sense of what the rest of the beloved AC thinks about what Im sure is going to be a hot topic in the weeks, months to come.

I was paying very close attention to the launch of the HTC Magic (T mobile My Touch 3g) launching in late july, I love my G1 but I have to admit the bulk of the phone is starting to get to me, as I have had it since OCT 08'. The My Touch is looking good as far as form factor, and new battery size, however now that the interweb is all a flutter with the news that HTC dropped today regarding the HTC HERO and its new reworked user interface from HTC resembeling their Touch flow 3d for WM, supposedly its called sense UI (we have been reffering to it as "Rosie" ).
And in the videos it looks beautiful.

My question I pose to you is are most of you willing to hold onto your G1's (rooted or not) untill the Hero comes stateside, or are you going to be going with the My touch 3g (magic) or wait for the Samsung Android?

Im sticking with the G1, waiting for the huawei. My next phone is going to be the touch pro 2, but im going ot hold on to the G1 when i get that.

Yeah it does, but just look at it. Look at it!!! Thats why im keeping my G1 though, and hopefully some smart minds port android over to it. That would be a golden phone. 3.6 inch 480x800 andriod goodness. Regardless of whether someone ports it though i still want that phone.

i want either the hero or huawei android phone. I'm leaning towards the huawei. but man look at that UI!! i think that's rosie 2.0 that haykuro has but htc renamed it to Sense UI
