htc g1 home and green button issues

i have g1,,i read some facts that g1 can handle adroid 2.1 and 2.2,so i downgrade g1 1.6 to 1.0, so that i can update it to 2.1,,i installed amon_ra dream 1.7, the problem is, when i boot my g1 to custom recovery and try to update,, it say that press home button to confirm.but when i press it ,its always say installation aborted, so itry to download amon_ra 1.2.2 which green button is the confirmation,iboot it again to the custom recovery and when i confirm it, its always say installation aborted,i figure out that my home button and green button is not functioned properly,, now im stack on1.0,,
any can help?if theres any menu button confirmation??please hellpppp me
