How to make calendar show correct date?

It seems that the Calendar icon is fixed on "31" unlike the iPhone it doesnt change, is there an app that makes it change? I find it quite annoying cause I cant find the date as easily, but this phone is better than the iPhone

I don't know of an app to perform this however in case your not already aware of this; the date shows on the Screen Locked banner and if you rest your finger on the Notification Bar at the top of your display it will also show the current date. But only while you rest your finger there.
