I'm wondering how many people will make totally unnecessary doctor's appointments just because you know how long of a wait there will be in the lobby where you can show off your G1 inconspicuously?

i will do the occasionally, "hang on let me get this call. and pull out this wonderful machine", and pretend nobody is looking, when i know in my heart of hearts, that everbody is quenching for knowledge! ya'll like that, a little cinamatic voyeurism, i think!!

To take it a bit further, if I happen to have a friend shopping for an Iphone 3G, and am with them when they buy it I will say "hold on, let me scan that and find the best price for you real quick.." And try with my best acting skills to let them know that in no way am I trying to gloat, but in all honesty trying to "help" them... (Meanwhile laughing in my head at them..)

How about going to the busiest place in your local area with a friend as a stooge who pretends to be lost. You whip out the G1 and do the whole Google maps/Street view/ Compass mode thing to 'Help' them.

I used to help every lost person i came across with my Blackberry maps.. lol.. It'll be so much more impressive with the G1.. lol.. Especially when you can show them the actual street view.. lol

I for one will not do it. Why you may ask?

Well, if G1 is a huge hit and T-mobile is very low in supply or out of stock all the time than some people may want to steal the phone from you.

I will not brag about my G1 and I will not show off my G1 to everybody.

I will however show it to my friends and a few people who I know.

If someone sees me using it and they want to see it, I show it to them.

I am going to get a case for it and keep it in there when I am not using it.
