how do we delete our gmail account of gphone

when i first bought this phone i couldnt get past the please create or input your gmail account, i didnt want to create so one , i used an old gmail account i dont even really use, so

1. how do i delete it off my phone

2. do i have to have a gmail account on my phone at all times?

my understanding is a gmail account is required

Yes - Your phone runs off of a GMail account, So u have to be signed into an account in order to use the phone.

Also, To answer your second question. Try one of these options. (To try and remove your current GMail account)


There are two ways to Master Reset a device



Via Software...

Menu

Settings

Tap and slide the screen up

Tap SD Card and Storage

Tap Factory Data Reset

Tap Reset Phone



(Use below ONLY if you cannot use the software to reset the device)

Using Hardware Buttons

Turn Off Device

Press and hold the Home and Power Button.

Continue holding even if you see the startup screen.

You will see a black screen with a Warning Sign.

Slide the Keyboard Open

Press Alt+L

Press Alt+W for "wipe data /factory reset"

Press the Home and Back Keys

The phone should reset at this point. If devices does not reset attempt to remove and then re-insert the battery.

No, a hard reset won't do it. You must mean a FACTORY reset. There's a difference.

I don't think it would hurt to leave it. I mean since you don't use it, what does it matter? You can't sign into your phone with any other non-gmail email account anyways.

Sounds like you didn't do your research. Whats the big deal of having a gmail account signed in? Since you don't use it, its not like you're getting tons of email popping up.

Blast! I think I will return my phone. What is the point of "open" source and other forms of "open"-ness if this kind of coercion is going on? I've just been informed by the store that all my contacts will be synchronized with my gmail account. I sure don't want that. There are people that gave me very confidential phone numbers and they sure wouldn't like it either! Paris Hilton scenario all over again.

If this was a free phone supported by advertising google might have a case, but I paid for this, and I should be able to control it.

This really sucks. I don't like being forced.
