Yeah, too bad the bluetooth thing didn't work...
I was able to pull my contacts out of a BlackJackII (WM6) using DotFred's PIMBackup in csv format (non-binary, non compressed, unzip the output). Gmail was able to import the csv. I did very little editing afterwards

Others had luck with TBExport (didn't run on my BJ)

Yeah, but as I had to change networks my old SIM will not work in my G1 and vice versa.
I'm really struggling with this too, I've always used bluetooth to transfer, and my contacts are solely on my Sony Ericsson K750i.
I'm gonna see if any of my older phones lying around are unblocked to all networks so I can bluetooth my contacts to my T-mobile SIM in that phone, that's the best I can come up with right now!![]()
Yeah this is pretty bad. I can't think of the last time I had to manually transfer a contact. I'm in the same boat, got a Hero but moved network, so the old sim won't run in the new phone, and vice-versa
I'm at a bit of a loss as to how Android got out the door with such bad bluetooth facilities!
Your post is highly informative. I appreciate your efforts.
