I hope you get a new one this time.. but that was cool of T-mobile to keep replacing it for you. Hope that it didnt cost you a cent. Look at the brightside, you're getting a new one :P
So early last week I ordered a replacement G1 because I had the loose screen, creaky, cheap build feeling with mine. Tmobile was very cool about it and sent a replacement. 2 days later I get it. It's a refurb, but feels sturdy and is in good condition. Thursday night while using the phone it just shuts off. Dead. Nothing brings it back. So I call Friday morning and the rep was very nice and apologetic. He overnights another G1. This afternoon I get it. Another refurb, yay. Again it looks to be in good condition. I boot up, sign in and go to turn the wi-fi on. Force close. Check my phone status. Force Close. Then the notification bar disappears. then the phone freezes. Awesome. I reboot with the same result. I do a factory reset, same thing. Call Tmobile. They offer me a new Dash. No thank you. So my 4th G1 is on it's way. The rep said it'll "most likely" be a new one this time. Looking back I should have just stuck with my first one, it never froze or force closed on me once in 3 months.

Also, I'm selling myTouch 3G accessories on Soompi!
I would suggest contacting HTC directly, keep in mind you still have a manufacturers warranty, and do not have to depend upon T-Mobile to handle your replacements. HTC should be able to issue a replacement phone.
My wife managed to get a phone that blew out its internal speaker the first week she owned it, and T-Mobile replaced it quickly with a new one (even gave her a color choice). She hasn't had any problems since, other than her addiction to Coloroid.![]()
That's nice of T mobile offering you the new Dash. Overall, you're getting an brand new phone, no creaks, solid built and stable.
It's because the G1 is a piece of crap. I had the same issues and finally went back to my BlackBerry. Best thing I ever did.
