    Default Hero hardwre reliability?

I really want to get a Hero but since I live in Florida, only way I can get it would be on ebay or something along those lines, so no warranty. How reliable are these phones? I saw some having problems with headphone jacks and backlighting, etc, i would hate to have a 600 dollar phone break on me.

everything can break... a pc, a notebook, a sandwich maker and phones can break too... what i'm saying is, no matter how good a piece of hardware is, it can always break down on you at some point... you never know those things. if you dont have a warranty, i wouldnt risk spending 600$... doesnt amazon.co.uk or amazon.de send to the US?
edit: i just checked, amazon.de does send to the US. costs 14€. dunno if that includes the hero.

i'd offer to order one from amazon.de and send it to you, but i'd think you wouldnt want to trust me with your 600$

so in the end, dont spend that kinda money without any warranty...
    at least i wouldnt.
